In early 2005 Addison entered the University of Ottawa Battle of the Bands and won. The experience was pivotal as it perked the ears of local promoters and ultimately landed them a steady gig. In 2006 Addison entered another competition, but this one was a little more lucrative and a lot more public. 106.9 The Bear and Molson Rock Resolution awarded them the number one prize, which included recording time at Blue Bear Studios, a show at Canadian Music Week and a 5 city tour of Ontario on the Molson Rocks bus! Addison's just released a 6 song EP called, "Basically I Like Your Face A Lot" (July 2006), so be sure to check it out...we did, and really dug it - Alot!.........

Much of Senses Fail's new album, "Still Searching" (OCT 10th | Vagrant Records), finds lead singer Buddy Nielsen and the rest of the band grappling with the issue...why we are the way we are. It's been nearly two years since the New Jersey quintet released their full-length debut, "Let It Enfold You" also on Vagrant...their new songs are considered some of the most accessible and personal ever penned by Nielsen and the band. "I like my lyrics to be open to interpretation, but I didn't want to paint pictures of things no one was going to understand; I want our fans to be able to relate...The first single 'Calling All Cars,' a melodic powerhouse details the fallout of life on the road as the singer confronts a self-fulfilling prophecy.
